are very sad to say goodbye to James, who is leaving us for a job with
the Met Office. He will continue with his research work in climate
modelling, and will be contributing to the
national effort to improve weather prediction. So his new job is great
for the country, but rather sad for us....
As luck would have it, James' work on numerical methods for weather and climate models has recently been featured in Advances Wales, a free quarterly magazine showcasing the latest news, research and developments in science, technology and engineering in Wales. The report on his research highlighted his recent work with NASA and the development of their atmospheric model. The feature is in Issue 92 of Advances Wales, available at https://businesswales.gov.wales/innovation/advances-wales.
Good luck James, we wish you well!
